Between 2023 and 2026, I was commissioned by Dr. Mainka, Managing Director of Mainka Bau GmbH & Co. KG, Darmer Esch 74, 49811 Lingen (Ems), to carry out a comprehensive analysis of the newly acquired DUHA precast concrete plant in Haselünne and to identify optimization potential. The change of ownership required an impartial, professional assessment of the existing production processes, structures, and technical systems in order to future-proof the plant.
What began as an initial analysis developed into a multi-year, trust-based collaboration. During this period, all production and administrative workflows were examined in detail and modernized step by step. A particular focus was placed on restructuring process chains, standardizing work procedures, and professionally establishing efficient communication and decision-making pathways.
Another key component was the technical enhancement of the ERP system, which was upgraded to a modern, high-performance standard. This sustainably improved transparency as well as production planning and control.
In parallel, employees received training in numerous workshops and were actively involved in the further development of the plant. The aim was to strengthen technical understanding, a sense of responsibility, and process reliability, while at the same time establishing a culture of continuous improvement.
As a result of these comprehensive measures, the DUHA precast concrete plant was significantly strengthened in organizational, technical, and structural terms. The collaboration was characterized by openness and professionalism, and by the shared goal of putting the company on a successful long-term course.
